Two arrests made after three children rescued from Redhill flat fire
Emergency services were called to reports of a large fire in the Station Road area
A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect following a fire in Redhill.
Three children were rescued from a flat in the Station Road area of the town on Thursday.
It's been confirmed there were no injuries - and the fire was put out swiftly.
Detective Inspector Adam Ramiz from Surrey Police said:
“We’re aware this has caused concern within our community with the significant number of emergency services vehicles on Station Road. I’m pleased to say that thankfully no one was injured in the fire.
“When our team arrived at the scene, three children had been rescued from the property by a neighbour who heroically entered the building to bring the children to safety. There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the fire and it was swiftly put out by the fire service.”
