The widow of Sir David Amess has visited the church in Leigh-on-Sea where her husband was killed.
Julia, who was joined by family members this morning (18 October), was seen to wipe away tears as she read the messages on floral tributes left outside Belfairs Methodist Church.
Her 69-year-old husband was stabbed to death there as he held a constituency surgery on Friday (15 October).
The minister, Rev Clifford Newman, spoke with them during the visit, with the group forming a semi-circle around him and bowed their head as he gave a short private address.
