The Duke of Cornwall is in the Duchy today, as he makes his first official visit to the county since taking on his new role.
HRH Prince William will meet organisations who are supporting the local community and staff working for the Duchy of Cornwall.
The Prince of Wales became the 25th Duke of Cornwall following the death of his grandmother, HM The Queen Elizabeth II and his father's accession to the throne as HM King Charles III.
Throughout his 70 years of stewardship, HM King Charles III was actively involved in running the Duchy. HRH The Prince William will continue this commitment to nurture and improve the estate in order to pass it on to the next generation in a stronger condition.
The Duke of Cornwall title is traditionally held by the eldest son of the reigning British monarch. Prince William's wife, Kate Middleton, is the current Duchess of Cornwall.
The Duchy of Cornwall is one of two royal duchies in England and was the first duchy created in the country. It was established by a royal charter in 1337.
