A reward of up to £20,000 is being offered to anyone who can help Detectives, as they search for a man in connection with a fatal Ilford shooting four years ago.

Today marks four years since 30-year-old Jason Diallo was fatally shot in Balfour Road.

Officers were called around 10:14pm on November 1st, 2020, and arrived at the scene to find Jason with multiple injuries, he sadly was pronounced dead.

A witness explained she saw Jason cycling along the road, when he was knocked off his bike by a car. Two men then got out and shot him in the head before driving away.

Just fifteen minutes after Jason's shooting, another shooting was reported around five miles away in Garvary Road, where a 27-year-old man was shot in the the shoulder.

When he spoke with officers, he said three men driving a car had followed him and began to shoot.

An investigation was launched and two men have since been convicted of their involvement in the two shootings.

28-year-old Mushin Mohamed, of Leytonstone Road, has been jailed for life for murder and attempted murder, whilst 24-year-old Tyrelle Joseph, of Banks Way, has been jailed for seven years for assisting an offender.

Their enquiries have continued to find and identify two more suspected believed to be involved, and have now released footage of a man they'd like to speak with.

The Metropolitan Police are offering up to £20,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for Jason Diallo's murder, and the non fatal shooting on November 1st 2020.

Unprovoked incident

Detective Chief Inspector Kelly Allen, the senior investigating officer, said:

“We have continued our momentum behind this investigation to ensure that those responsible for killing Jason Diallo and seriously injuring another man are held accountable.

“Our enquiries have found no evidence to suggest that Jason Diallo or the attempted murder victim were known to one another or those convicted, suggesting that this was a completely unprovoked and violent incident.

“Jason Diallo was described by his family as a devoted father of two who had the softest heart. Our thoughts have remained with his family and friends throughout a difficult four years and we are determined that they see justice.

“We are now in a position to release an image of this man, who we would like to speak with in connection with this ongoing investigation.

“If you know who he is or have any information which could help us, please get in contact.”
