Person hit by train on Rugby line

A person has been hit by a train between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central.

National Rail says while the emergency services carry out their work, some lines towards Milton Keynes Central were closed - but they're now open again.

Lines have reopened between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central following the earlier incident where a person was hit by a train. The emergency services have safely completed their work but trains may still be delayed by up to 30 minutes, cancelled or revised whilst service recovers.

Avanti West Coast between Edinburgh / Glasgow Central / Lancaster / Blackpool North / Manchester Piccadilly / Liverpool Lime Street / Chester / Holyhead / Shrewsbuty / Wolverhampton / Birmingham New Street and London Euston

London Northwestern Railway between Crewe / Birmingham New Street / Rugby / Milton Keynes Central and London Euston

Disruption is expected, between Rugby and Milton Keynes, until 3pm.
