Pensioners' bodies pulled from car which crashed into reservoir

The bodies of two pensioners have been found in the wreck of a car which went into a reservoir in Oldham on Sunday (15 March).

Emergency crews were called to reports of a crash near Crook Gate Reservoir in Denshaw at around 10:00GMT.

Police are continuing investigations at the reservoir, looking into how the car ended up in the water.

In a statement, Greater Manchester Police confirmed the families of the man and woman are being supported by specialist officers.
