Liam Gallagher has told a fan complaining about Oasis ticket prices to "shut up" in his first Tweets since their reunion shows went on sale.

Fans complained after tickets rose by hundreds of pounds on Saturday, under so-called dynamic pricing.

The band issued a statement earlier this week, claiming they were not aware it would be used, and decisions on pricing were down to management and promotions.

This morning, he wrote on X: "OASIS are back your (sic) welcome"

One fan wrote back "Didn't expect them to rip the fans off as much as they have done. It's genuinely a shame.", to which Liam replied "SHUTUP".

The Oasis frontman also said he was feeling "smug" following the announcement of their reunion, and that he "always" knew the band would get back together.

Another asked if he had spare tickets to the show, to which Gallagher replied: "loads but there really expensive 100 thousand pounds Kneeling only".

The CMA will also scrutinise whether the sale of Oasis tickets by Ticketmaster may have breached consumer protection law.

Ticketmaster maintains it does not set concert prices and its website states this is down to the "event organiser" who "has priced these tickets according to their market value".

A spokesman for the ticket sales company said: "We are committed to co-operating with the CMA and look forward to sharing more facts about the ticket sale with them."
