Greater Manchester Police officer charged with rape
The 24-year-old is due to appear in court next month
A Greater Manchester Police officer has been charged with rape.
PC James Stonehouse was arrested on suspicion of rape on 7 April 2022, and was taken into custody for questioning.
The 24-year-old officer, who was based in Oldham, has today been charged with one count of rape.
Stonehouse continues to be suspended from duty.
He will attend Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court next month.
