Elderly West Country man pleads not guilty to murdering wife

An elderly man accused of killing his wife in North Somerset earlier this year has pleaded not guilty to her murder.
John Woodbridge, who is 91, and from Ashcombe Road in Weston Super Mare, is charged with murdering 92-year-old Anne Woodbridge at a home in the town.
She was found dead on the morning of Monday 30 January.
Appearing at Bristol Crown Court this morning (March 24) via video link, Mr Woodbridge spoke only to enter his plea.
A provisional trial date has been set for 18 December this year.
