Wes Foderingham is looking for Rangers to keep the momentum going after the international break following their 3-0 win over Partick Thistle on Saturday.
In what was Graeme Murty's second game as stand-in boss following the recent sacking of Portuguese coach Pedro Caixinha, the home side turned in a solid performance to go within three points of second-placed Aberdeen.
Gers' 19-year-old defender Ross McCrorie scored his first goal for the Govan club in the 29th minute when he headed in a cross from wide-man Daniel Candeias, who doubled that lead with a drive after good work by midfielder Jason Holt.
Midfielder Josh Windass added a third at the start of the second half to make it two wins out of two for the Ibrox club's head development coach Murty, who finds himself caretaker manager for the second time this year.
The domestic games stop for the international break, when Scotland will play Holland in a friendly at Pittodrie next Thursday, and goalkeeper Foderingham is looking to get back on track against Hamilton when the Ladbrokes Premiership resumes.
He told RangersTV: “We will be looking to get three points from that game as well so hopefully we can just keep the momentum and keep winning football matches.
“We scored three good goals and we haven't had too many clean sheets this season so that has been something we have been trying to improve on and thankfully we got one on Saturday.
“He (Murty) did a fantastic job the last time and the boys really enjoy having him in the building, he is a breath of fresh air.
“The boys are really looking forward to the next few games under him.''
Foderingham praised McCrorie's contribution both in attack and defence, saying: “Since he stepped up to the first team he has done really well.
“He is a really level-headed young man and took his goal really well. I am pleased for him.''
McCrorie, preferred to veteran Portugal defender Bruno Alves who was back from suspension, was delighted to get his first goal for the Ibrox club.
He said: “We got three points last week and three this week so hopefully we can build on that and get a wee run going.
“It has been brilliant to be involved and hopefully I can be involved more.''
Thistle had won two and drawn one of their previous three matches to climb off the foot of the table after a winless start to the league campaign.
Jags boss Alan Archibald, pleased to see midfielder Gary Fraser back from injury for the first time in 18 months with a substitute appearance, bemoaned poor defending but hopes to have that sorted for their next game against Hearts.
He said: “We knew they would be tough but we won't let the heads go down.
“It is just important that we don't let that defending creep back in and the decision-making is a lot better when we return after the international break against Hearts."
