Rangers Face St Johnstone In League Cup

Rangers have been handed a home game against St Johnstone in the third round of the Scottish League Cup.

The Championship leaders were destined to face Premiership opposition in the seeded draw and will be looking for a repeat of their home win over the Perth side in last season's competition.

Celtic will begin the defence of their League Cup title at home to Raith Rovers.

Premiership leaders Hearts face former manager Gary Locke's side at Rugby Park in the only all-Premiership contest, while Hibernian will host Aberdeen.

Dunfermline get the chance to beat another Dundee team after being handed a trip to Tannadice, while Falkirk are again away at top-flight opponents with a trip to Dingwall to face Ross County the reward for their win over Partick Thistle.

Morton host Motherwell while William Hill Scottish Cup holders Inverness travel to Livingston.
