Rangers have been knocked out of Europe after an embarrassing evening in Luxembourg.

Last week's 1-0 first leg victory wasn't enough as Progres Niederkorn went through with a 2-0 win on the night.

Angry fans could be seen shouting at the Rangers team bus as it left the stadium.

Manager Pedro Caixinha said losing to Progres Niederkorn would be "unthinkable", but that's exactly what happened as Rangers were knocked out of Europe by the Luxembourg minnows.

Two second-half goals from Emmanuel Francoise and Sebastian Thill meant last week's 1-0 first leg win wasn't enough, and the Ibrox side exit the Europa league in the first qualification round.

Elsewhere, it was confirmed Celtic will face Linfield next week in Champions League qualifying after they got past La Fiorita.
