Motherwell midfielder Chris Cadden has been rewarded for his strong start to the season with a late call-up to Scotland's Under-21 squad.

Blackburn full-back Stephen Hendrie has also been added to Ricky Sbragia's party after Lewis Macleod and Callum McFadzean dropped out.

Cadden, 29, has already scored three goals this season and was a surprise omission from the initial 21-man squad named to take on Macedonia on September 2 and Ukraine four days later.

Cadden's first call-up comes the day after he was named man of the match in the goalless Premiership draw with Dundee.
