Kirsten Callaghan named as Killie chief executive
Callaghan was formerly club secretary for eight years
Kilmarnock have begin restructuring following the exit of Michael Johnston by appointing Kirsten Callaghan as chief executive.
Callaghan was formerly club secretary for eight years and returns to the club on a full-time basis in July.
The appointment comes before clarity on the manager's situation. Lee McCulloch has been in charge of the team on an interim basis since February and his future was expected to have been sorted this week but he is now on holiday.
Callaghan's appointment comes a week after former chairman Johnston stepped down after 15 years on the board.
Director Billy Bowie said in a statement: Kirsten has a wealth of experience in running a premier league club, having previously worked here in her role as club secretary.
Kirsten, who previously held a senior position with Woodward, will play an integral part in developing the club, working with the current team to achieve business objectives. We are very much looking forward to Kirsten joining the team in July.''
