Joey Barton will again be absent from the Rangers team which faces Betfred Cup quarter-final opponents Queen of the South on Tuesday after the midfielder was issued with a three-week club suspension.

Ibrox bosses have decided to extend the former England international's punishment following a training-ground row with boss Mark Warburton and team-mate Andy Halliday.

However, Rob Kiernan, Matt Crooks and Joe Dodoo have all shaken off ankle problems and will rejoin the Light Blues squad along with Philippe Senderos, who is back after serving a one-game suspension.

Provisional squad: Foderingham, Tavernier, Hill, Kiernan, Senderos, Crooks, Wilson, Wallace, Halliday, Rossiter, Kranjcar, Holt, Windass, Miller, McKay, Garner, Waghorn, Forrester, Dodoo, Hodson, Bates, O'Halloran, Gilks.
