Hibernian have described Rangers' £175,000 offer for Scott Allan as "easy" to reject.

Hibs knocked back their Ladbrokes Championship rivals' offer on Wednesday, three days before the teams meet in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup at Easter Road.

Boyhood Rangers fan Allan is midway through a two-year contract and could leave for free next summer, but helping Hibs regain their top-flight status would prove more lucrative to the club than any transfer fee Rangers are likely to offer.
