There was an Edinburgh clean sweep on the shortlist for the PFA Scotland Championship player of the year award with no Rangers players present. Hearts trio Morgaro Gomis, Alim Ozturk and Jamie Walker have made the top four of the voting along with Hibernian midfielder Scott Allan. Midfielder Gomis and defender Ozturk both joined Hearts in the summer while Scotland Under-21 midfielder Walker has continued his progress with an 11-goal haul for the champions. Former Dundee United player Allan has impressed in the Hibs midfield after returning north from West Brom. The League One nominees are Stranraer winger Willie Gibson, Morton's on-loan Aberdeen striker Declan McManus, Peterhead midfielder Jamie Stevenson and Alan Trouten of Brechin. Newly-crowned League Two champions Albion Rovers are not represented on their division's shortlist, which contains Arbroath strikers Bobby Linn and Simon Murray, the latter of whom has signed for Dundee United, Elgin forward Shane Sutherland and Paul Woods of Queen's Park. The shortlist for the main Cheque Centre PFA Scotland player of the year will be announced at a later date with the winners to be revealed on May 3.
