Gary Mackay-Steven intends to use his omission from the Scotland squad as a motivation to be included in Gordon Strachan's future plans.

The winger has caught the eye since signing for Celtic from Dundee Utd in January but his form wasn't enough to see him included in the national team to take on Northern Ireland and Gibraltar this week.

Fellow Hoops winger James Forrest was given the nod but Mackay-Steven says he's not too disappointed to have been overlooked:
