Glasgow City have announced the signing of Scotland number one Gemma Fay from Celtic.

Scotland's most capped player of all time with 188 appearances for her country, Fay brings a wealth of experience to City following the departure of goalkeepers Lee Alexander and Megan Cunningham.

As well as a record number of appearances for Scotland, Fay is also Scotland Captain and her leadership skills will only help City in their quest for their tenth Premier League title in a row.

Commenting on bringing Fay to the club, Head Coach Scott Booth said, "I was delighted Gemma decided to join us at City. Replacing good goalkeepers is often tricky but in Gemma we not only have Scotland's No1 but a player with fantastic experience and a brilliant football mentality."

On signing for Glasgow City, Gemma Fay said, "It was a tough decision to leave a club like Celtic, however after speaking to Scott and Laura, I knew it was the right decision for me as a player to sign for Glasgow City.

I am looking forward to the challenge of defending the League, Scottish and League Cup titles in an ever increasing competitive environment. The chance to play Champions League once again is something that would excite any player. I'm looking forward to getting started."
