Kris Doolan is in line to rack up a decade's worth of service for Partick Thistle after agreeing a new three-and-a-half year deal.

The striker joined the Jags from junior outfit Auchinleck Talbot in 2009.

Now he has penned a new contract which stretches to the summer of 2019.

The frontman has netted seven times in 16 starts for Alan Archibald's men this season.

Confirming the extension, the Firhill outfit said in a statement: "Partick Thistle are pleased to announce that Kris Doolan has signed a contract extension until the summer of 2019.

"Thistle's number nine has made 257 appearances for the club with his consolation strike on Saturday bringing him to 82 for the club, a tally that places him 15th in Thistle's all time goalscoring list.

"The contract will take Kris to 10 years of Thistle service stretching into his testimonial year in 2019.''
