Christopher Mandiangu completes Hamilton switch

Hamilton have completed the signing of former Germany youth international Christopher Mandiangu.

The 23-year-old forward has been training with Accies for several weeks and is now eligible to play in Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup fourth-round tie at Annan after gaining international clearance.

Mandiangu was most recently at Dutch second-tier promotion hopefuls FC Eindhoven, where he scored two goals in 12 games this season.

The Congo-born player won 22 youth caps for Germany and played in the European and world under-17 tournaments. He was previously on the books of Borussia Monchengladbach and MSV Duisburg.

Speaking last month, Accies boss Martin Canning said: "He's an attacking player so hopefully that will give us another option. He likes to get the ball down and commit people."
