Well boss Robinson reading nothing into Premiership table ahead of Dundee clash
Motherwell boss Stephen Robinson reads nothing into the Ladbrokes Premiership table ahead of the trip to Dundee on Saturday. The Dens Park side are bottom with no points from the first three fixtures while the Steelmen sit above them with one point following a dramatic 3-3 home draw with Rangers last Sunday.
However, Robinson stressed that the league campaign is still in its very early stages.
He said: I think Dundee are a good side. I went to see them against St Johnstone, they have a lot of very good technical players and they dominated large parts of the game.
So we will be well prepared for them. It is not something we will take lightly.
We have only played three games and we are talking about teams at the bottom and teams struggling.
Nobody is struggling at this stage. It is very early for everybody.
This is people finding form and getting into a little bit of a rhythm as we are as well.
I am sure Dundee will go on and put a run together but hopefully that doesn't start against us.
I have seen big signs of improvement and I thought Sunday's performance was excellent.''
Robinson noted that striker Kenny Miller, 38, signed a two-year deal with the Dens Park club on Wednesday following a short spell as Livingston player/manager.
He said: I think he is a good signing. Kenny is a good player.
We have already played against him once this season with Livingston so again we will be well aware of Kenny's threats.''
