Two teens arrested after officer and steward injured following St Johnstone cup win

Two teenagers have been arrested after an officer and steward were injured following St Johnstone's League Cup win against Livingston.

Fans gathered outside McDiarmid Park on Sunday night, ignoring a warning from the club not to arrive at the stadium to celebrate

A spokesperson for the force said: "Police Scotland can confirm that a 15 and 19-year-old man have been arrested and charged in connection with a disturbance that took around 6.15pm on Sunday, 28 February, 2021 outside the stadium of St. Johnstone Football Club, McDiarmid Park, Perth.

"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

"Enquiries are continuing."
