Kris Boyd will serve a two-match ban after seeing his appeal against a red card shown against Aberdeen rejected.

The Kilmarnock striker was show a straight red after a foul on Graeme Shinnie in the 80th minute at Pittodrie.

The club opted to appeal against it, but they announced on Wednesday that Nick Walsh's original decision had been upheld at a Scottish Football Association hearing, meaning 34-year-old Boyd will miss the upcoming match against Hearts and the trip to face Dundee at Dens Park next week
