Kevin Thelwell to appoint son to Rangers board as head of recruitment
Rangers' sporting director Kevin Thelwell is set to appoint his son as the club's new head of recruitment, according to reports.
The Herald claim that Robbie Thelwell will join the Ibrox outfit as part of a significant backroom shake-up.
The 26-year-old graduated from university in 2020 and previously worked with his Dad at Wolverhampton.
He has also worked for Aston Villa in the Premier League, and has been head of technical scouting and loan management at Norwich City since last year.
His father, Kevin, was appointed to the Rangers board earlier this year but has been criticised by supporters recently, alongside protests against head coach Russell Martin and CEO Patrick Stewart.
Rangers are in Austria ahead of tomorrow's Europa League match against Sturm Graz.
