TAYLOR-SINCLAIR RELISHING NEXT STEP Former Partick defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair has vowed to prove he is good enough to thrive south of the border after sealing a switch to Wigan. The highly rated left-back had been tipped for a move to Scottish champions Celtic but has now penned a three-year deal with the Latics after his Jags contract expired. The 23-year-old made over 100 appearances for Thistle after joining in 2011 from Montrose and helped the club win promotion back to the Scottish Premiership 12 months ago. But now he says he is determined to impress Uwe Rosler after clinching his move to the DW Stadium. He told the official Wigan website: "I can't thank everyone at Partick Thistle enough for the help and support they've given me and I'm leaving some great friends behind, and a superb set of supporters that I'll never forget. "But when the opportunity to come to Wigan came up, I was very interested, and I feel this is the next step in my career. "I want to meet up with everyone now, get working and prove to the gaffer that he has made a good choice." Rosler added: "Aaron fits exactly with the type of player we are looking to bring to the club, young, hungry, dynamic and ready to fit into our culture. "He has been a key player for Partick Thistle for a couple of seasons now and he has been on our radar for some time. "We will give him the time he needs to become integrated but he has the potential to develop into the sort of player who can take the club forwards."
