A club statement read: "We can confirm that we will be appealing the red card shown to Charles Dunne on Saturday."
The Paisley side are still in the hunt for a new manager after Jim Goodwin left for Aberdeen on Saturday.
Former boss Jack Ross has reportedly knocked back an approach to return to the Paisley side.
Aberdeen midfielder Scott Brown and Hearts coach Steven Naismith are now the front runners to take over.
