St Mirren youngster Dylan Reid completes Crystal Palace move
The 17-year old has joined the Premier League club on a three-and-a-half year deal
St Mirren youngster Dylan Reid has completed his move to Premier League side Crystal Palace.
The 17-year old has signed a three-and-a-half year deal in south London and will initially be part of the club's academy setup.
Reid made a total of eight appearances for the Buddies and also had a brief spell on loan at Queen's Park.
After completing his move, Reid said: “I’m super excited and I can't wait to start playing soon.
“I can't wait to see where this will go. The coaches and facilities here are top drawer and I’ll always give my best on and off the pitch, I just need to kick on.”
St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson told the club's official website: "Dylan is a kid with great potential and someone who I would have liked to have worked with more, but it was a very good deal for the football club and an ongoing deal that could rise.
"It’s huge credit to the Academy and Allan McManus and his staff. We’re producing good players and that’s the lifeblood of the football club – bringing in players, developing them and selling them.
"Clubs in the English Premier League are paying for potential now and he has that. Crystal Palace have conducted themselves very well throughout the transfer as well which has to be credited."
