St Mirren boss Stephen Robinson has revealed Curtis Main and Charles Dunne will leave the club this summer.

The pair have been offered new deals with their current contracts expiring at the end of the season.

However, Robinson admits they cannot compete with offers from other clubs.

He told SunSport: “Charles and Curtis will have bigger offers elsewhere. We can’t stretch any further than what we have.

“I can’t blame them, there are no hard feelings. They have both been fantastic and will be 100 per cent committed for the final games.

“They are both 30 now and they want to get one last contract to help them out. The reality is we can’t offer money that other people in the SPFL and abroad are offering.”

Striker Main has scored seven goals this season while helping the Buddies to their first top six finish since 1985.

Charles Dunne has also been a key part of the Paisley club's success - featuring 34 times in all competitions.

Robinson also confirmed he is ready to sign a new contract with initial talks already having taken place.

He added: “There’s been an initial conversation that the club were going to put a contract in front of me.

“But there’s nothing at this moment.“I’m keen to stay. I am relaxed about it. I know St Mirren will come and put something to me when they are ready.

“Seeing the club grow and getting back to what it wants to be has been fantastic. But I’m far from resting on what we’ve done. I want to kick on and keep improving in every area.

“I’m more than happy to stay. I’ve got an excellent staff who I trust implicitly, and I enjoy going to work every day.

“Beating Celtic is a big highlight for everyone here, but we should have done it more than once.“The scorelines don’t suggest it, but for long enough in the last two matches I thought we were fantastic, before Celtic were able to bring on world-class players.

“There’s a pride in our victory, and I’d love to do it again before the end of the season. I’d also love to do the same to Rangers. We’ve got Europe to aim for too.”
