SFA Performance Director Malky Mackay says youngsters have proven their worth in the Premiership

Mackay spoke to Clyde 1 Superscoreboard host Gordon Duncan about all things performance schools

SFA Performance Director Malky Mackay has thanked Premiership bosses for giving younsgters a chance to develop as they look to continue their recent success stories of the performance schools.

Mackay says the performance school graduates have proved they can handle the pressures of Scotland's top flight and hopes more youngsters can follow in the footsteps of the likes of Hearts midfielder Harry Cochrane.

Gordon Duncan also spoke to new Performance School manager Brian McLaughlin after his recent appointment.

McLaughlin says youngsters in the schools at the moment must use the likes of Harry Cochrane and Billy Gilmour as inspiration but insists the future is broght for Scottish Football.
