Seaborne: Pressley was influential

Danny Seaborne has revealed how former boss Steven Pressley helped to convince him to move to Partick Thistle.
The defender, 27, has penned a two-year deal with the Firhill club following his departure from Coventry.
The centre-half made 16 appearances under Pressley last season and says the Sky Blues manager had a big part to play in his switch north of the border.
Seaborne said: I spoke to Steven Pressley and he definitely had good things to say. He was quite influential in my decision to come here.
I've done a lot of research and spoken to a lot of lads who I've played with previously, who are Scottish and have played here.
They had nothing but good things to say and it makes the choice a lot easier if people are saying good things.''
Former Southampton defender Seaborne is hoping to be pitched straight into the action when Thistle get their Scottish Premiership season under way with the visit of Ross County on Wednesday.
He said: I trained with the lads on Monday morning and I enjoyed the training session. It's good to be here and to get things started.
It's a different league and a different challenge. It's something to look forward to.
I didn't really know a lot about the SPFL but now I've looked into it, it's quite a decent option.
I spoke to the manager and it's something I was really interested in.
One of the things that attracted me is the way they play football. It's the top league so it's a good challenge and one I'm looking forward to.''
Seaborne suffered serious head injuries in an attack outside a Southampton nightclub in September 2011 and did not play for the Saints for the remainder of that season.
But he insists his injury problems are firmly behind him as he prepares for a new challenge with the Jags.
He said: I was really keen to come here and play. Injuries have hampered me but it's a chance to play in a decent league.
Hopefully that's all behind me now and hopefully I can do my best.
Hopefully I'll bring a bit of leadership and a bit of experience. It's quite a young team so that's two decent qualities I'll try to bring to the club.''
