Scott Allan and Roarie Deacon join Dundee
Scott Allan and Roarie Deacon have signed for Dundee, the the Dens Park club have announced.
Celtic midfielder Allan, 25, has penned a season-long loan deal while midfielder Deacon, also 25, has signed a two-year deal after moving from Sutton United.
The pair have become manager Neil McCann's first signings for the Tayside club.
Allan started his career with Dundee United before moving to West Brom in 2012. After several loan spells away from the Hawthorns he returned to Scotland with Hibernian.
He joined Celtic in 2015 and the former Scotland under-21 player won the Ladbrokes Premiership title with the Hoops only to move to Rotherham on loan last season.
Deacon, a Londoner, came through the youth ranks at Arsenal but failed to make the first team.
After moving to Sunderland he also struggled to make an impact and had spells at Stevenage and Crawley before joining Sutton last season, where he featured during their FA Cup run that took in games against both Leeds and his former club Arsenal.
At the Dens Park press conference, Allan stressed that he has "no regrets" about his Celtic career so far.
He said: "I wouldn't say I have been disappointed. I have learned a lot. I think I am a better player for it.
"I got a (league) winners' medal in the first year, I learned a lot from Brendan Rodgers in pre-season last year and I took the decision to go on loan - so I have no regrets.
"It didn't go well for me last season down south so it was about getting back up the road and getting playing again. That's why I made this decision.
"I am just happy to get the opportunity to play football week-in, week-out and at this time in my career this is the right place for me.
"Hopefully the club will get in the top-six, get a cup run and I do well myself. That's my main aims.
