Scotland midfielder James Morrison: Expectation hands England extra pressure
Scotland will face a side who expect to beat everyone when England visit Hampden Park on Saturday, according to James Morrison.
The Three Lions have not lost a qualifier for a major tournament since a defeat to Ukraine in 2009.
And, after five 2018 World Cup qualifying fixtures, Gareth Southgate's men sit top of Group F with 13 points, four ahead of Slovakia and six ahead of the fourth-placed Scots, whose hopes of reaching Russia were given a much-needed boost in the 1-0 win over Slovenia at Hampden Park in March.
Morrison hopes that crucial victory, which came via a late Chris Martin strike, will help in what he accepts will be a much tougher task.
The 31-year-old West Brom midfielder said "They expect to beat everyone, England.
"That is the beauty of them having that pressure on them, and maybe we can capitalise on that.
"England are favourites. They have had terrific group stages of late.
"So maybe there is not that much pressure on us because they have got some fantastic players, players who have played in the Champions League and winning the Premier league.
"We will go about our business and take confidence that we played under pressure against Slovenia, very well."
