Scotland to face Italy in Gregor Townsend's first game in charge
Gregor Townsend's first match as Scotland head coach will be against Italy in Singapore, the Scottish Rugby Union has announced.
Scotland will take on Italy on June 10 before facing Australia in Sydney and Fiji in Suva on the subsequent two Saturdays.
Townsend, who takes over from Vern Cotter, said: "We're pleased to confirm our 2017 summer tour will take us to Singapore, Sydney and Suva, where our players will relish the challenges presented by tough opposition, travel and climate in a concentrated and intense period of rugby.
"Touring builds strong bonds in a group and, in addition to our preparation camp, this time together will be invaluable for our new coaching team as we strive to further improve the squad."
