Scotland to face Albania and Israel in UEFA Nations League
Starting in September each nation will play each other twice.
Scotland will play Albania and Israel in this year's inaugural UEFA Nations League tournament.
Each side will face each other twice and the group winners will advance to a play-off stage featuring the winners of the other groups in League C.
A semi-final and final stage will take place, and the overall winner of League C will win a spot at Euro 2020.
This will be the first time Scotland have ever faced Albania, who are managed by former Italy international Christian Panucci. The last major tournament they reached was Euro 2016, where they were knocked out in the group stage.
Scotland have played Israel three times and have won all three matches, with the last meeting in 1986. They are also currently without a manager and haven’t qualified for a major tournament since the 1970 World Cup.
As Scotland are in a group of three, friendly matches will be schedules for the matchdays that Scotland do not have a game.
