Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack will miss their clash with Hibs on Wednesday night through injury.

The 29-year old made his first start in over a year in Sunday's 5-0 hammering of Hearts.

Jack also impressed as a half time substitute in last week's 3-0 defeat to Celtic.

The Scotland international had been out of action for almost a year through injury, with his manager revealing he has picked up another knock.

Quoted on the club's official Twitter, van Bronckhorst said: "Ryan Jack is out after a problem with his ankle, he will be out of the squad for tomorrow.

"I don't think it is serious, he got a knock during the game. It is not a serious injury."

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has also revealed that new signing Aaron Ramsey won't play from the start.

The Wales international came off the bench in Sunday's victory after signing on loan from Juventus on transfer deadline day.

The absence of Jack could have opened up a starting spot for the former Arsenal man - but van Bronckhorst says he isn't ready yet.

He said: "Ramsey is not quite ready to start yet.

"You can see his quality in training and in his early minutes.

"He is improving every day and it is great to see the improvements in only a week."
