Rangers 'win race' to Tom Lawrence with transfer imminent

Rangers are set to sign in-demand attacking midfielder Tom Lawrence, according to reports
The 28-year-old has impressed at Derby County over the years and is available on a free transfer.
Leeds, Everton and Nottingham Forest were among the clubs interested but Giovanni van Bronckhorst is expected to win the race to his signature.
Lawrence will bring another attacking aspect to the Gers side and will be the club's second summer signing, following the addition of Croatian forward Antonio Colak for £1.8m yesterday.
The Wales international can play anywhere behind the striker and could even be used as a number nine.
With Joe Aribo set to move to Southampton, Lawrence could be seen as a direct replacement.
Lawrence, who captained Derby at times last campaign, spent five years at Pride Park scoring 35 times in 177 games.
The Rams were relegated last season but Lawrence still managed to score 11 times and assist five goals.
He has made 23 appearances for Wales and scored three times.
