Rangers sign striker Youssef Chermiti from Everton for £8million

Rangers have signed striker Youssef Chermiti from Everton for £8m.
He becomes the second forward to join the Ibrox side in the past few days, with Bojan Miovski also in the door.
The pair will replace Hamza Igamane and Cyriel Dessers, who have both left the club.
It's understood the fee could rise to close to £10million with add-ons, making the Portuguese the club's most expensive signing since Tore Andre Flo in 2000.
Chermiti moved to Everton in 2023 for around £12million from Sporting CP in Portugal.
He made 25 appearances for the Premier League side, mainly as a substitute, but failed to score a goal.
The 21-year-old has represented Portugal at every youth level.
Chermiti told the club's official website: “I am really happy to be here, when I spoke with Kevin and Russell, I knew straight away that I wanted to join the club.
“I can’t wait to meet everyone, the coaches, my teammates and all of the staff. I just want to meet everyone and get involved. I have heard about the atmosphere here and the stadium and I can’t wait to play.”
Head coach Russell Martin added: “We’re really pleased to bring Youssef to Rangers. He’s a young striker with huge potential and a lot of the qualities we were looking for in that position.
“At just 21, he already has valuable experience at a high level, and we believe this is the right environment for him to continue his development. We’re excited to work with him over the coming years and help him fulfil that potential here at Rangers.”
