Rangers have announced the loan signing of Norwich defender Russell Martin until the end of the season.

Martin has 29 caps for Scotland but has struggled to get in to the Norwich squad this season after being a mainstay in the side for eight years.

The 32-year-old becomes Graeme Murty's fourth signing as Rangers manager after previous loan deals for Sean Goss, Jamie Murphy and Jason Cummings.

He told Rangers TV, "It's really just the opportunity to come here and play in front of this crowd on a regular basis.

"The facilities are amazing; everything about it is just a huge football club and I think at this stage in my career to come here, it excites me.

"It's a challenge as well. The club is in the position it's in at the minute, they've done really well recently and hopefully I can come in and help them and help the manager and keep on progressing".
