Rangers seal Kamberi loan with Docherty moving to Hibs
The striker moves to Ibrox on loan until the end of the season with Docherty moving the other way
Rangers have completed the loan signing of Hibernian striker Florian Kamberi with midfielder Greg Docherty moving in the opposite direction.
Gers boss Steven Gerrard moved for the 24-year-old Swiss, who has eight goals this season, after losing Jermain Defoe to a calf injury for about five weeks. Kamberi and Docherty have moved on loan for the rest of the season.
Rangers earlier completed the signing of Romania midfielder Ianis Hagi - son of Romanian great Gheorge - on loan from Belgian champions Genk with an "exclusive option'' to buy the 21-year-old at the end of the season.
Kamberi told RangersTV: “Ever since I came to Scotland it has been a dream for me to move to Rangers and it has happened today, so I am a very, very happy man.
“For me, Ibrox is the best atmosphere I have ever played in. My second game for Hibs was against Rangers at Ibrox and after the game, I told my agent immediately my dream would be to play in this stadium in front of these fans as they are the best fans in the world – the support is massive.
“At the end of the day, it is all about winning. I am a winner and I am always on the pitch to win, so I will try my best to give that to this club.”
