Rangers say it 'beggars belief' that their Hibs allocation is cut
The sides meet at Easter Road on the final day of the season
Rangers claim Hibernian's decision to reduce their ticket allocation for the final Premiersip weekend of the season "beggars belief''.
Hibs have already sold out three of Easter Road's stands for the contest on May 13, which could have a major bearing on who finishes second and European qualification, and announced on Tuesday they would sell their fans tickets for a section of the South Stand, as they do for other home matches.
However, Rangers have reacted with disbelief after being told their travelling supporters will not the get the full stand to themselves as usual.
A club statement read: "First and foremost Rangers hopes the safety of our fans, who will now be in only one section of the South Stand rather than filling it completely, will not be compromised by this decision, which beggars belief.
"This is the least Rangers expects for supporters who have repeatedly proven themselves to be the most loyal in the country by selling out away ticketing allocations at opposition stadiums for years.
"This was evident as we rose through the divisions when clubs the length and breadth of the country, including Hibernian, benefitted financially from the presence of our fans.
"Rangers will of course bear in mind Hibernian's decision when considering ticketing arrangements for future matches - both home and away - against this particular club.'
