Rangers look to be closing in on their second signing of the January transfer window after sealing their move for Todd Cantwell.

Michael Beale has already confirmed the club are interested in Belgian under-21 midfielder Nicolas Raskin who is out of contract in the summer.

With Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri now reporting an agreement has been reached with the player and the Ibrox side are now set to finalise the details with Standard Liege.

He Tweeted: "🚨 #BREAKING We announced it on Thursday... 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🔵 Nicolas #Raskin soon at the #RangersFC! ✍🏼 Player Agreement✅ Contract of 4 years & a half. 🏥 Medical tests last week✅👀 Scottish chiefs are coming to Liège to finalise the deal with the #RSCL in the coming hours."

Tavolieri also says Raskin passed medical tests in London last week ahead of a move to Glasgow.

Speaking on the player last week, Beale said: "A player I remember a lot from the time we played Standard Liege. He missed the first game against Rangers that night when Kemar Roofe scored that amazing goal but he played in the second leg.

"He is obviously out of contract in the summer and is attracting a lot of attention. There is an interest from us but I am sure there is from a number of clubs."
