Rangers keeper Alnwick joins Scunthorpe on loan
Rangers have allowed third choice goalkeeper Jak Alnwick to join Scunthorpe on loan until January. The Englishman was signed from Port Vale by former Gers boss Mark Warburton in January last year but has been unable to force his way into new manager Steven Gerrard's line-up.
The 25-year-old acted as understudy to Wes Foderingham last term and has now fallen further down the Light Blues pecking order following the summer arrival of Scotland stopper Allan McGregor.
The Ibrox club said in a statement: Rangers today confirm goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has joined Scunthorpe United on-loan until January, subject to international clearance.
Alnwick, 25, joined the Light Blues back in January 2017, and since then, has made 11 appearances in all competitions, keeping three clean sheets in the process.''
