Rangers discover Europa League group opponents

The Ibrox side dropped into the competition following a 7-3 aggregate lost to PSV in the Champions League play-off round

Rangers will face Real Betis, Sparta Prague and Aris Limassol in Group C of the Europa League.

The Ibrox side dropped into the competition after a 7-3 aggregate defeat to PSV in the Champions League play-off round.

The group stages kick off on September 21 but Michael Beale's men will need to wait to find out the fixture schedule.

They will have fond memories of their last involvement in the competition after their run to the final in Seville in 2022.

Rangers finished second in their group that campaign - behind Lyon and ahead of Sparta Prague and Brondby.

Last year's Champions League group stage proved a step too far under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

Zero points were accumulated in tough matches against Liverpool, Napoli and Ajax.
