Rangers have confirmed the pre-contract signing of Motherwell winger Jake Hastie on a four-year deal.
The 20-year-old - today announced as one of four nominees for the PFA Scotland's Young Player of the Year award - has made a meteoric rise since returning to Fir Park in January after spending the first half of the campaign on loan at Alloa.
His displays for Stephen Robinson's side quickly caught the eye of Rangers boss Steven Gerrard and he has pounced to snatch one of Scotland's most hotly-tipped youngsters.
He becomes the Light Blues' second pre-contract capture following the signing of Jordan Jones from Kilmarnock.
Gerrard said: We're delighted to be able to add Jake to the squad next season.
He is a talented young player who has performed well for Motherwell in the second half of this season.
We are always looking to add individuals to our group of players who will improve us and Jake will undoubtedly do that.''
Rangers director of football Mark Allen added: We are delighted to add such a talented and young Scottish player to our team for next season.
We are committed to improving the strength of our squad and this is part of that process. There will be some departures and we hope for a few arrivals which will add greater quality.'
