Rangers complete signing of striker Antonio Colak

Rangers have completed the signing of striker Antonio Colak on a three-year deal from PAOK.

The 28-year old joins for a fee of around £1.8million and becomes their second arrival of the summer following John Souttar.

His contract offers on option of a further year, which would see him stay at Ibrox until 2026.

Colak told the Rangers website: “I am really, really happy to sign for Rangers.

"I have played in front of those incredible fans already, and now I want to experience on my own what it is like to be a part of this huge club, to win titles and to achieve every target the club has.

"I want to be a part of this big family and I am really excited and can’t wait to get started."

Manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst also spoke, adding: “He is a very experienced player who has played at high levels and scored a lot of goals for the teams he has played for.

"We wanted to add some more players to our attacking options, and Colak is a player we welcome a lot and will give us a lot of strength up front."

Colak has been drafted in after the sale of Cedric Itten and will provide competition for Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe up front.

The Croatia international scored 22 times in 41 appearances for Malmo last year but only struck twice upon his return to Greece in January.

He also has fond memories of Ibrox where he bagged twice against the Gers last August to knock them out of Champions League qualifying.

He will wear the number 9 shirt for the Gers.
