RANGERS have been dealt another huge blow ahead of the Old Firm clash in January 2 with the news that Jack Butland won't play.
The regular goalkeeper had to go into hospital with an internal bleeding issue. He has since been released, but is not able to face Celtic in the second league meeting between the two sides.
He place will be take by Liam Kelly, who will make his derby debut having just started his first Rangers game only two weeks ago.
It's a second major problem for mananger Phillipe Clement after captain James Tavernier was ruled out two days ago with an injury, Centre back Leon Balogun is also fighting to be fit and unlikely to be risked.
Rangers trail their rivals by a massive 14 points and have failed to win any of the last seven games against Celtic
