Oli Shaw leaves Kilmarnock for Barnsley
The striker follows Kyle Lafferty out the door at Rugby Park
Kilmarnock striker Oli Shaw has left the club to join English League One side Barnsley.
The 24-year old has left for an undisclosed fee and follows Kyle Lafferty out the door at Rugby Park.
Shaw was the club's top scorer during their Championship-winning campaign, scoring 16 goals as they secured promotion.
Speaking to iFollow Barnsley, Shaw said: “Obviously, I’m happy to be here,” began our latest recruit. “It’s been a long couple of days. I’ve known about it for a while, but I’m finally here now.
“I’ve met the boys, settling in. It’s really good to be here now and I can’t wait to get going.”
He is the second striker to depart on transfer deadline day with Kyle Lafferty leaving by mutual consent.
Lafferty scored just three goals in 17 appearances this season and also served a ten-match ban for using sectarian language.
In a short statement, the club said: "It’s with regret that Kyle Lafferty and Kilmarnock Football Club have parted company by mutual consent. We thank Kyle for his service to the club."
