Motherwell have announced the signing of Louis Moult on loan from Burton Albion.
The deal has managed to be completed despite the transfer window closing at midnight.
The 30-year old returns to the club where he had previously been a huge success.
Moult originally signed for the Steelmen in 2015.
He scored 38 goals in 84 league games and helped the team to the League Cup final in 2017, scoring both goals against Rangers in the famous semi-final victory.
Moult was then sold to Preston North End that January for an undisclosed fee but suffered a serious injury.
He moved to Burton Albion in 2021 but only scored one league goal for the club.
Manager Steven Hammell told the club's official website: “To get Louis on board is a major coup.
“I played alongside Louis and I am fully aware of what he is capable of and what he will bring to this team.
“I’m excited to see what he has to offer this season.”
