Motherwell sign Japanese forward Riku Danzaki
The 22-year-old has played in Japan and Australia
Motherwell have completed the signing of Japanese attacking midfielder Riku Danzaki.
The 22-year-old arrives from Consadole Sapporo, penning a two-and-a-half year deal.
Danzaki had been on a second loan spell at Australian side Brisbane Roar, where he made 12 appearances this season.
He impressed in the 2020/2021 campaign, scoring nine times in 26 A-League matches.
After joining Sapporo from in 2019, Danzaki made 20 appearances for his parent club and had a loan spell with second-tier JEF United Chiba in between his time in Brisbane.
He further bolsters Steven Hammell's attacking options and Fir Park and becomes the club's fourth January signing.
Striker Mikael Mandron, defender Shane Blaney and midfielder Olly Crankshaw have already joined the Steelmen.
They sit 9th in the league table and face St Mirren on Saturday.
